What Office Work?

Life without paperwork!  Sounds like a dream doesn’t it?  But this dream can be your reality with a little thought and planning.

By incorporating a simple process and a few changes into my daily routine, I am able to spend 100 percent of my time seeing clients and making sales.  And what’s even better is that I only work eight hours a day, five days a week and I’m still able to maintain Top of the Table production levels.  Let me preface this by saying, what works for me may not work for you, but maybe my system will help spark an idea that you can implement to help you live a paperwork-free life.

The answer to my paperwork dilemma was simple – a plastic carried bag.  It’s not a technological wonder or a sophisticated system – but it works.  Each day my office staff sorts through all of the administrative paperwork that comes in.  If there are items that need my attention, they put them in a plastic carrier bag.  Also, if there are files I need for the next day’s appointments those are added to the bag.  During the afternoon the office staff takes the bag to my house and leaves it in my garage.  When I get home I pick up the bag and replace it with the carried bag that I was using that day.

While I am being transported, by my driver, to my day’s appointments, I look at the information my staff placed in the bag so that when I get home I am able to drop off the day’s files and pick up the new carrier bag, repeating the process daily.  I honestly never have to step into my office unless I want to, leaving my days open to making sales and most importantly making money.

It isn’t rocket science, so I ask you…What simple solution can work for you?
