MDRT “Be the Change” Foundation

Have you ever been a part of a foundation that focuses more on change than charity?  This is the ultimate goal of the MDRT Foundation – to work together with people and provide help to those who can’t do so themselves.  The MRDT Foundation believes in social change that will impact the lives of many across the world and can begin with simple acts of kindness.

In the past year, the Foundation has provided:

·        Food and water to families rebuilding their homes in the Gulf Coast after the damage of Hurricane Katrina;

·        Grant money and support to families who lost their homes in the wake of the tsunami in Thailand;

·        Free health care and health education clinics for the poor in Costa Rica; and

·        Hundreds of wheelchairs for the disabled in Mexico and India.

The MDRT Foundation doesn’t just lend a financial hand, but also a helping hand.  I encourage members to be active in the Foundation and “be the change” for those who are in need.  Visit the MDRT Foundation Web site at http://www.mdrtfoundation.org/ to learn more!

Dear Donald,
It's so nice to know that MDRT Foundation is doing a lot of service activities to bring a 'change' in the lives of people who suffer. May this great service continue as there will be a need for service till mankind exists.

I had been to Brazil last month as a member of Group Study Exchange Programme of Rotary Foundation and learned a lot. Can MDRT Foundation think of some innovative programmes to make a change in the mindset of Insurance agents? MDRT Foundation may conduct training programmes in different places of different countries in regional languages. Exchange programmes may be organised.

When I went as a GSE Team member of Rotary, the leader was a Rotarian and the other 4 members including me were Non Rotarians. Now I'm becoming a Rotarian, impressed by the activities of Rotary Foundation. I'm planning to support the welfare activities of Rotary Foundation to show my gratitude.

Like that one MDRT member may lead the team and other 4 Insurance salesmen who has achieved ceratin level of excellence and aspiring to become MDRT meber may be included. One member may be a new entrant. One member may be an Insurance official who doesn't directly sell Insurance. Some such new projects may be introduced. This is my humble suggestion to MDRT Foundation.
