My Time On MDRT’s Executive Committee

Only a few days left and on September 1st, I can wear the traditional black blazer and join the Past Presidents who have helped keep MDRT vital for 80 years.  As I reflect on my five years on your Executive Committee and the nine months as nominee, I’m amazed by everything I was privileged to experience.

I have become a citizen of the world, not just a citizen of my native country.  Our MDRT members are simply amazing!  The breadth of their abilities, talents, and hearts has an effect on families, communities and others well beyond the members of any other organization or profession.

MDRT talks, but, more importantly, now acts as an international organization.  MDRT has a Governance Model that empowers leadership in conjunction with staff to make and implement appropriate decisions for the benefit of our members.  Yet, we remain and are ever committed to leadership by our members who continue to give of their time and talent to improve and maintain MDRT.  Our members’ leadership is supported and implemented by the finest staff of association professionals ever assembled.  Yes, if I may boast, MDRT was strong, is strong and will remain strong.

Personally, I am organizing the thousands of pictures many of you have provided during the traveling my wife and I have done and from our Annual Meetings, MDRT Experiences and various other meetings.  Selling life insurance is now a focus of the majority of my time. Our only daughter is getting married in September – an exciting event for the Rothschild family.  Thus, life is more regular but never normal.

Becoming a leader will give the best opportunity to learn so many new skills and to sharpen our exisiting skills. It will give ample opportunity to try out so many unused potentials of us.

After enjoying leadership position of such a big worldwide great organisation, you will definitely feel that you are loosing something. But you can start enjoy your work and life with a different perspective as this position has broadened your horizon.

Always today is the foundation on which tomorrow can be built. As a leader you' ve laid strong foundation for tomorrow's developmental activities. Now the time has come to transfer your ideas and visions to the new leader. We wish you a smooth transition.

Organisation like ours needs 'Change' and 'innovation'. The leadership change only can give these things anew.
So let's wish the new incoming leader to bring in a lot of new ideas which will lead the organisation to grow from peak to peak and provide new opportunities for members to develop further.

Our advance wishes to your daughter to have a happy, blessed married life.

My dear Immediate Past President of MDRT,
I wish you all the very best in all your future endeavours on behalf of my Team of LIC agents.

Heading such a great organization like MDRT, having real great Financial professionals as it s members who spread throughout the world ...wow....is definitely an enriching and uncomparable experience.

I realised personally how tough being the leader is... as I served as Zone President of Junior Chamber International India, last year. Now I m the Immediate Past Zone President.
Though the leadership position is tough, the learnings one could get as a leader is uncomparable and immeasurable.

If possible you can think of write a book with a lot of photos, based on your experiences as President of MDRT.

We wish your daughter a great happy married life. Our advance wishes for the marriage ceremony. May the Lord Almighty shower His abundant blessings.

All the best to you always.

A brand new black blazer for one heck of a trail blazer!
Steve - Matthew, Elaine and I would like to thank you for the inspirational leadership that your Presidency and your time on the Executive Committee imbued us with.
Truly, Many Doing Right Together - around the world!

I married off my daughter last November, so I can understand exactly what a welter of emotions the Rothschild family members are experiencing. Remember to walk her SLOWLY down the aisle; I savoured every step - then she walked out on another guy's arm - many years (decades) my junior, and a couple of inches taller too!

The Bonellos are delighted for you all and send heartiest best wishes!!
