As a member of the Annual Meeting Program Development Committee (PDC) it is exciting to see the vision we had for the 2008 Annual Meeting is now becoming a reality. Registration materials are available on the MDRT Web site, and MDRT members around the world are learning more about the exciting program we have in store for them in Toronto, June 22- 26. Being a member of the PDC is a wonderful honour and it is our responsibility to fulfil one important objective ― that is, to send our fellow MDRT members home after the meeting excited about the work they do in changing lives and committed to doing more with their clients, families and within our communities.
This year’s Annual Meeting will have a new extended schedule. Special sessions that traditionally were held in the evenings will take place in the afternoons. For those members who are looking for an alternative to the traditional focus sessions, do come along and share the atmosphere at the Special Interest Sessions that will begin at 3 p.m.on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
As you page through the Annual Meeting registration materials you will notice that many of the focus sessions are of global interest. The majority of the sessions will be of benefit to all attendees in some way, whatever your level of production and country you are from. You never know – a session you attend may provide you with the great idea that changes the way you do business – and covers the cost of your trip to the Annual Meeting! While it may be tempting to explore Toronto, I encourage you to not miss these focus sessions. We have left your evenings open so you can enjoy the city and spend time with your friends.
I hope I have inspired you to make the most of the meeting and to attend the many sessions being offered. As the meeting approaches, I encourage you to share your Annual Meeting experiences here and to help your fellow members understand just how life-changing an MDRT Annual Meeting can be.
Please share a past Annual Meeting focus session or Main Platform presentation that changed your life or the way you do business.
